GuraQuest Is a Different Game — Here Is How to Tell Them Apart

If you searched for GuraQuest and landed here, you may be looking at two different games without realising it. Speedrun videos from 2021, an itch.io page that no longer opens, and a Steam release in 2026 are not the same project — and the older one is not an earlier version of the newer one.

The three things that give it away

The developer name. GuraQuest speedrun descriptions credit lee-pic.itch.io/guraquest and point at Lees_Pac. Quest for Bread is credited to Kenny Park everywhere — Steam, the holo Indie trailer, and his own portfolio.

The upload dates. The GuraQuest runs went up in March and May 2021. Quest for Bread’s demo did not exist until 15 June 2026. If a video predates mid-2026, it is not this game.

The storefront. GuraQuest lived on itch.io. Visiting that page today returns a wall, not a download: “This game has been restricted by the author and can not be downloaded.” Quest for Bread has a Steam page with a public demo on it.

Is GuraQuest an earlier version of this?

No, and nothing supports the idea. Different developer, different storefront, five years apart. The only things they share are the character and a short runtime. Quest for Bread’s own history runs back to roughly 2022 by the account of a reviewer who followed it, and it was already being shown publicly as a Godot project in 2023 — a separate track from a 2021 itch.io release by someone else.

If you were trying to play GuraQuest, this wiki cannot help you get it; the author closed access and that is their call. If you were trying to play Quest for Bread, the demo is on Steam and the full game arrives 27 August 2026.
